On February 17, 2007, the Michigan State University Police Department informed the school’s Young Americans for Freedom chapter that it would have to pay extra security fees to host a viewing of a film titled “Obsession: Radical Islam’s War Against the West.” A university administrator also implied that the YAF chapter would be held financially responsible for any protests or disturbances that broke out at the screening. In response to ����ֱ��’s March 13 letter urging the university to revise its policy on security costs at student events, the university’s president informed ����ֱ�� that a misunderstanding had occurred and that the police department had communicated to the event-organizers that there would be no extra fee for security.
