Downers Grove Park District maintains an ordinance that limits the exercise of First Amendment activities — including individuals or groups “engaging in charitable, religious, or political speech or expressive conduct” — in its public parks to designated “free speech zones.” On March 6, ����ֱ�� wrote park district officials explaining that the restrictions infringe upon residents’ First Amendment right to engage in expressive activity in traditional public fora. ����ֱ�� urged the district to revise its ordinance.
